This week, our area has experienced severe winter weather. Many areas will see more snow today, and we have decided to close campus through Friday.
Classes will remain virtual through the end of this week. If you are having difficulty because of power outages or connectivity issues, please contact your professors to let them know. I am sure they will be understanding – some of them are experiencing the same challenges as our students. We have no flexibility for making up missed class time for this quarter, so going virtual with our classes today and tomorrow gives our professors the maximum flexibility to meet class requirements before the quarter ends.
PLEASE avoid driving while ice and snow remains on roadways. Travel at this point is still very dangerous!
COVID-19 is still very much present, so don’t let down your guard!!
Tech Table will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Friday for students who are currently on campus. The Lambright Center will remain closed.
Essential employees who are needed to work will be notified by their supervisors, and Human Resources will send out special instructions on Monday on how to record time worked and special leave taken.
Lady Techsters basketball games against Middle Tennessee will move to 2 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. Our Lady Techsters volleyball games against Southern Miss will be played at 5 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. Monday.
Once again, remember to be safe and stay home if possible.
