Louisiana Tech University will be open and classes will be held on Monday (April 29, 2019).
We realize that situations vary for each student, faculty, and staff member. If you have extenuating circumstances that will keep you from campus, please contact your supervisor or professor to determine if accommodations can be made.
We understand that this recovery process will be ongoing and will not end on Monday. Returning to a normal routine will be an important part of the healing process for our faculty, staff, and students.

The emergency curfew for the City of Ruston is still in effect from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM. This emergency curfew shall remain in effect until lifted.
The Big Event will take place at 8:00 AM tomorrow. We will meet on the east side of Joe Aillet Stadium. Lunch will be served while food supplies last.
A reminder: Campus is closed today.
Cleanup will continue. Offices that are open will most likely be helping students on campus, so we ask for patience from off-campus community members.

The City of Ruston has enacted an emergency curfew beginning at 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM. This emergency curfew shall remain in effect until lifted.
Classes are canceled, and campus is closed tomorrow.
Food service at Tech Table is open today (April 25) and tomorrow (April 26) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Students: Please stay away from downed trees and power lines. They can be dangerous. Stay safe.
Louisiana Tech University is closed today, April 25, as the result of a tornado.
The storm traveled through the Ruston campus on Wednesday night, April 24.
No students on campus were injured, but a significant amount of damage occurred. Power lines and trees are down in some areas on and near campus.
In some areas, traveling is hazardous.
If you do not live on campus, please do not come to campus. Essential personnel will be contacted by their supervisor about reporting to work.
Several Louisiana universities and state and local government in south Louisiana have announced closures for Thursday because of possible severe weather.
Louisiana Tech will remain open Thursday, April 18. Students who may be traveling south for the long weekend should take care when driving.
