Our area continues to be under an extreme cold warning with significant ice accumulation on the roadways. To ensure a safe return to campus for our students, faculty, and staff, Louisiana Tech University will remain closed through Wednesday, Jan. 28. Tuesday’s temperatures will allow for some roadway melt but below-freezing temperatures overnight will likely result in iced roads.
For those who remain on campus, Tech Table will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Lambright Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
We appreciate our Louisiana Tech Police Department as well as our facilities, food service, housing, and Lambright teams for serving campus so ably throughout this weather event.
If circumstances allow, students are encouraged to check Canvas for any updates from professors. We do not want this extended weather event to impact your academic progress and success. Use this extra time to study and further your understanding and preparedness for your return.Â
